A young man has been remanded in custody by the prosecutor following a fatal shooting in the Kvarngärdet district. The remand application was submitted to Uppsala District Court on Thursday, with the more serious charge of murder.
Police apprehended the suspect early on Monday morning in the capital. Investigators believe he travelled there by train after the crime. When the remand hearing will take place is not entirely clear, other than that it is planned for Thursday.
