Police in the Ptuj area investigated a case of serious bodily injury to a man who was found unconscious by rescue workers. The investigation is in its active phase.

Google News SI — Crime (sl) reports that police officers at the Maribor Police Authority received notification from rescue workers that a man with serious bodily injuries was lying in the Ptuj area. The man was unconscious.
Police officers at Ptuj Police Station, on the basis of gathered information, confirmed the elements of the criminal offence of serious bodily injury. Ksenija Subotič, shift leader at the Maribor Police Authority, announced that the investigation of the criminal offence is in its active phase.
In the past 24 hours, police officers at the Maribor Police Authority collectively handled 140 intervention incidents, among which were 33 traffic accidents and 14 criminal offences. In six traffic accidents, participants sustained minor bodily injuries, whilst in 27 only property damage occurred. One driver had his vehicle seized due to more serious traffic violations, and another was detained for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Among the criminal offences, police officers recorded six thefts, three cases of causing bodily injury, two instances of counterfeiting money, one burglary, one criminal offence of domestic violence and one threat. Due to breaches of public order and peace, they intervened at eight public places and in four private premises. One offender who continued with the offence despite warning was detained. One person was issued a restraining order for the protection of a victim of domestic violence.
