A break-in occurred at a residential house in Maribor on Friday, during which an unknown perpetrator stole €10,000 in cash from the bedroom. Police were notified of the incident at 14:49.
According to the findings of the patrol, the suspect approached the garage doors in the basement between 11:00 and 14:30. He forcibly opened the locked doors and thus broke into the interior of the building. He then walked through the house until he found the money that the resident kept in the bedroom.
Maribor police confirmed that the homeowner suffered damage of approximately €10,000 due to the theft. They also warned that many people store cash and valuables in the bedroom, which is frequently known information for burglars.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and police are collecting possible evidence and witnesses.
