Pomurec.com reports that an intensive police operation is underway in Kuzmi following an armed robbery that occurred on Friday, 4 September, shortly before 12 o'clock. An armed man approached a security guard at a border shop and robbed him of the day's takings.
After the robbery, the perpetrator fled on foot behind the shop building in the direction of the forest. Police officers immediately secured the crime scene, gathered initial information and set up roadblocks in the surrounding area. An intensive search for the escaped man is ongoing.
Description of perpetrator: black clothing, mask and Styrian accent
The Murska Sobota Police Authority has released a description of the suspect. He is approximately 170 centimetres tall. During the robbery, he was dressed in black clothing and wore a mask covering his entire face with an eye-hole cut out.
During the robbery, he spoke with a Styrian accent.
Police warning: do not attempt to make contact
Because the man is armed, police are explicitly urging citizens to exercise caution and warning them not to attempt to make contact with the suspect themselves.
