Following the incident, the owner expressed suspicion that the fire could have been the result of deliberate action. The editorial team of Sobotainfo.com therefore contacted the Murska Sobota Police Directorate for clarification.
"At the site, it was established that 70 bales, covered with vapour-permeable film, were destroyed. Approximately €1,400 in material damage resulted," said the Murska Sobota Police Directorate.
Based on the information gathered thus far, police have not established circumstances confirming deliberate fire-setting. However, officers were also made aware of information indicating the possibility of deliberate arson.
The investigation is ongoing.
