Google News SI — Crime (sl) reports that on Friday, 21 August, in the evening in Novo mesto, two men chased a 34-year-old and attacked him with sticks inside a Petrol petrol station in Žabja vas.

Police were informed of the brawl at a public location on Belokranjska Street shortly after 19.30. The operations and communications centre immediately dispatched crews to the scene, who established public order and peace and established the identity of those involved.

According to the findings of the Novo mesto Police Directorate, the participants knew each other and were in a dispute. The 34-year-old man was at that moment on the terrace of a nearby public house. When the 18-year-old and 42-year-old suspects, with whom he was in dispute, arrived, he fled into the interior of the shop and hid behind the sales counter.

The suspects chased him into the shop and beat him there with sticks. During the attack, equipment inside the premises was also damaged.

All participants in the brawl sustained minor injuries and were treated by paramedics. A shop employee also sustained minor injuries, though she did not require medical assistance.

Police are continuing to investigate all circumstances of the criminal offences of violence and minor bodily injury. On the basis of the information gathered, police will take action against both suspects in accordance with their authority, the Novo mesto Police Directorate announced.
