Detainee Dean Husović flees vicinity of Ljubljana Prison
Bosnian and Herzegovinian national Dean Husović fled the vicinity of Ljubljana Prison on Wednesday. Police have not yet apprehended him and are calling on the public to provide information.
Escape from vicinity of Ljubljana Prison: police search for Dean Husović
According to domzalec.si, police were notified on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, at approximately 16:00 hours of an escape by a detainee from the immediate vicinity of the Ljubljana Prison (Zavod za prestajanje kazni zapora Ljubljana). The escaped detainee is Dean Husović, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A manhunt has been issued for Husović. A large number of police officers from various Ljubljana police units have been immediately included in the search operation, working in co-operation with the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions and foreign security agencies.
According to information available so far, the escaped detainee is not considered dangerous; however, police advise caution in the event of an encounter and immediate notification of the police.
