Yesterday late in the afternoon, officers from the Novo Mesto Police Directorate, in coordination with colleagues from the neighbouring country, found and detained a man who is alleged to have killed another person at the end of January in the settlement of Bojanci in the municipality of Črnomelj.
The incident under investigation occurred on 31 January this year. Following the act, police launched extensive investigative work, which also included cross-border assistance. The result of this joint effort was the arrest of the 44-year-old suspect on Croatian territory on 2 February.
At a press conference in Novo Mesto, investigators presented the initial findings. Further details about the act itself and the identity of the victim have not been disclosed due to the ongoing investigation.
