A serious incident occurred in Kočevju in which a car driver seriously injured a police officer. According to unofficial reports, the driver accelerated and then struck a police officer, who held onto the vehicle for several metres. The car then crashed into a wall.
The police officer was seriously injured and was taken to University Medical Centre Ljubljana. There are no official explanations regarding the circumstances of the incident at present.
According to local residents, there was a large number of police officers and a police helicopter at the scene. Investigators are still searching for the suspect, and according to the 24ur portal, the suspect is a "long-time acquaintance of theirs".
