On Saturday just before midnight, a 54-year-old man broke into a residence, threw flower pots at the occupant, threatened to kill her and damaged the interior fittings.

On Saturday just before midnight, a violent incident occurred in one of the municipalities in the Vranov nad Topľou district. A fifty-four-year-old attacker attempted to forcibly enter a residential property.
When the woman opened the door after loud knocking, the man attacked her verbally and physically. He threw two flower pots at her and threatened to kill her. He then forced his way inside and began damaging the interior fittings of the house.
The victim called the tactical unit. According to her account, such attacks were not for the first time and his behaviour had deteriorated over time.
Officers detained the suspect and placed him in a cell. An investigator from the Vranov district police station subsequently informed him of charges for dangerous threats.
If the court finds the defendant guilty, it may impose a prison sentence ranging from six months to three years.
