Slovak actress Broňa Gregušová has publicly come forward with allegations against her partner, Cuban actor Mario Cimarro. In an internet project called Hero Hero, she spoke about years of suffering that she allegedly endured abroad. According to her account, her partner forced her into a secret wedding, which not even her closest family knew about.
The actress claims it was repeated domestic violence. "It did not happen once or twice, multiply it by two," she said in an emotional statement. She feared not only for herself, but also for the life of their shared daughter Briany. The situation escalated to the point that she had to take legal action in Florida, where she currently lives.
In court, Gregušová is representing herself. "I don't have money for lawyers," she admitted with tears in her eyes. The court has issued her a restraining order that prohibits her partner from any contact and approach. The actress warned that the photographs Cimarro posts on social media are from an earlier date and he is currently unable to be near her.
Support for her sister was expressed by her sister Lucia, who published information about Cimarro's behaviour via Instagram. "When you see photos of my sister, where she is beaten, literally scalped on her head, with bruises on her knees, a swollen face, then you will not feel sorry for the abuser," Lucia wrote.
