Police tactical unit officers from Košice detained two men who broke into a private facility in the village of Pozdišovce.
Two suspects arrested during break-in in Michalovce district
Two men were caught by police in the act of breaking into a private compound in the village of Pozdišovce, located in Michalovce district. The operation was carried out thanks to the rapid response of the Emergency Motorised Unit of the regional police in Košice.
Everything began with a phone call from the property owner, who noticed unknown persons moving about on his land. The caller immediately notified police and tactical unit officers rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, they used information from the property owner and entered the building. During their search of the premises, they discovered two individuals hiding in an electrical distribution box next to the main hall. As there was suspicion of a burglary offence, police officers detained them and brought them to the district police station in Michalovce.
Investigators subsequently charged both men with theft by burglary in complicity. Criminal prosecution was also initiated against them.
If the court finds the accused guilty, they could face up to two years in prison.
