Two dealers from Bánovce caught by police during drug transport
Police stopped a car with five people near the village of Brezolupy. They found methamphetamine and cannabis on two of them. They were charged with drug trafficking and remanded in custody was recommended.
Two dealers from Bánovce caught by police during drug transport
On Thursday, 2 July, police from Trenčín stopped a personal Audi A6 vehicle near the village of Brezolupy. Five people were travelling in it. The operation was carried out based on operational intelligence suggesting that the passengers could be involved in drug smuggling.
During a vehicle search, officers found a packet containing white crystalline material on a fifty-four-year-old passenger. Laboratory analysis confirmed the presence of methamphetamine. A forty-year-old man was found to be carrying bags containing cannabis and methamphetamine.
Both men were detained and placed in a cell. It was established that they intended to subsequently sell the drugs in Bánovce nad Bebravou.
An investigator charged both men with the illegal production and sale of narcotic and psychotropic substances. Furthermore, he prepared a request for their placement in pre-trial custody, which will be reviewed by a judge.
