Two women from Trnava region face charges over methamphetamine trafficking
A woman in her sixties and a woman aged 51 were selling methamphetamine in the Trnava area. Police arrested them following house searches, during which they found drugs hidden in locations in the forest.
Two women from Trnava region face charges over methamphetamine trafficking
Two women have been detained in the Trnava area on suspicion of drug smuggling and distribution. Investigators found more than one hundred grammes of methamphetamine during raids.
The detained women are 62 and 51 years old. The older of the two already had a prior conviction for drug trafficking. The pair kept their supplies not only at home and in their car, but also at hidden locations in the countryside away from their residence.
Police carried out searches of flats and other premises, conducted personal searches and inspected a motor vehicle. Drug packages were also discovered in so-called dead drops – hiding places in the forest which they had prepared in advance.
The investigator brought charges against them for the serious crime of unlawful manufacture and distribution of a narcotic and psychotropic substance. They face seven to fifteen years' imprisonment. He also filed a request for remand in custody.
The case is still under investigation.
