A police investigator has charged a 20-year-old man with dangerous threatening and assault following a nighttime incident in Brezová pod Bradlom.
Armed attack in Brezová pod Bradlom: 20-year-old man faces charges
A police investigator has charged a 20-year-old man with the offences of dangerous threatening and assault. According to Trenčín regional police spokesperson Ingrid Krajčíková, as reported by Aktuality, the incident took place during the night of 27 to 28 August in front of a residential building in Brezová pod Bradlom.
The accused, following a preceding verbal altercation, approached a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman and shoved both of them. He then struck the injured party with a clenched fist to the shoulder area. The injured man responded with an elbow strike to the attacker's head, causing him to fall to the ground. After the fall, the accused struck the injured man with a firearm in the head area.
The injury required medical treatment in hospital. During the attack, the accused verbally abused both injured parties and shouted that he would shoot and kill them.
The investigator filed a motion for the accused to be taken into custody. If found guilty, he faces a prison sentence of up to three years.
