A major operation by elite drug-fighting police is currently underway in the Bratislava and Nitra regions. The operation is codenamed DOCTOR and targets a gang suspected of manufacturing and selling drugs.
Members of the special division of the National Drug Unit are searching homes, other premises and land. At the same time, they are detaining people on suspicion of involvement in illegal drug activities. According to information, this criminal activity was allegedly carried out by multiple people acting together.
Investigators have not yet released the exact number of arrests or the quantity of narcotic substances possibly seized. The operation is still in full swing and police are continuing with the necessary procedures.
