In Galanta district, officers from Trnava regional police headquarters detained two suspects accused of drug trafficking. The accused are a 36-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, both with previous criminal records. According to an official police statement, the pair distributed heroin and methamphetamine throughout the district.

The banned substances were stored by the accused directly in the residential house they shared. They received orders from customers on a large scale and organised sales with the aim of making financial profit. Investigators stated that they used the proceeds obtained to purchase further supplies and for their own consumption.

During the operation, police conducted a house search and a personal search of the suspects. Evidence found was submitted for expert examination. If they are found responsible, the accused face imprisonment of between seven and fifteen years.
