A further participant in the international drug cartel was brought into the hands of the law during an operation on a busy road. The rapid response unit of the Office for the Fight Against Organised Crime stopped the suspected man in his car on Monday afternoon.

This was reported by Pravda.sk. According to police, this is a continuation of an extensive operation aimed at dismantling a network of dealers operating across borders. Investigators are currently gathering evidence and mapping the entire structure of the group.

So far, ten people have ended up behind bars as part of the operation codenamed Urus. Nine of them face charges. The security forces are attempting to identify everyone who traded in contraband and to determine the precise volume of smuggled substance.
