The Inspectorate has accused a 25-year-old police officer of assisting in the legalisation of money stolen from an ATM in Dolné Saliby. The main suspect was hiding in Hungary.

An investigator from the Police Inspectorate has brought charges against a 25-year-old law enforcement officer from Bratislava. According to the findings, she was to have assisted in laundering money obtained through a March attack on an ATM in the village of Dolné Saliby.
Specifically, she is suspected of taking stolen cash, holding it, using it herself, and carrying out financial transfers via ATMs in order to conceal its origin. The woman was detained as part of Operation Hamlet.
In the same case, a 28-year-old man from Váhovce also faces charges. Following the robbery, he was to have gone into hiding across the southern border, where he was detained by Hungarian authorities. Slovakia is currently requesting his extradition.
