Officers of the Košice Customs Office stopped the driver of a Škoda Superb vehicle on a street in Moldava nad Bodvou during the past month. During the vehicle inspection, they suspected that prohibited substances might be present in it.
They therefore called in police officers. These officers secured items suspected of being narcotics or psychotropic substances. According to Korzára, it was a bag with a plastic container filled with green plant dried matter that resembles marijuana.
The seized items were sent for expert laboratory examination. Investigators launched criminal proceedings on suspicion of unlawful possession of a narcotic substance. The proceedings name a twenty-one-year-old man as a suspect.
Košice regional police spokeswoman Jana Illésová told the media that due to the ongoing investigation, it is not possible to disclose further details.
