Three Polish men hiding in Bratislava detained over man's murder in Krakow

Bratislava regional police officers detained three Polish nationals on Friday 28 August suspected of involvement in a fatal attack in Polish Krakow, according to Google News SK citing the Topky.sk portal. The operation took place in a flat on Šustekova Street in Bratislava's Petržalka district.
The actual attack occurred during the night of 20 to 21 August in the Krakow city district of Nowa Huta. A group of individuals physically assaulted a 36-year-old man, who subsequently died from his injuries. The attackers fled the scene.
Over the following days, Krakow police obtained operational information indicating that the three suspects were present on Bratislava's territory. "Officers from Krakow police obtained operational information over the past days, according to which three persons reasonably suspected of involvement in the given act should be located on Bratislava's territory," said Michal Szeiff, spokesman for Bratislava regional police.
Bratislava criminal police verified and confirmed the information. Since it could not be ruled out that the men were armed, officers from the Bratislava Emergency Police Unit assisted in the operation. The three were detained using coercive measures directly in the flat. No person suffered injuries during the operation.
According to Szeiff, a check revealed that two of the men were wanted in Poland for apprehension and international extradition. The third was listed in a search as a missing minor being sought by Polish authorities.
All three were escorted to the relevant police department, where necessary procedural steps were carried out, and subsequently handed over to Krakow police. The Slovak police also released a video of the masked officers' operation.
