During a routine road check in Moldava nad Bodvou, employees of the Košice Customs Office came across a suspicious discovery. In a Škoda Superb vehicle, they found a bag with a plastic container filled with green plant material that could be marijuana.

The incident occurred in the previous month on one of the local streets. During the vehicle inspection, customs officers became suspicious that the interior contained prohibited narcotic or psychotropic substances. They therefore called police to the scene, who secured the items found.

According to a report from the Korzár server, the seized items were sent for forensic examination to precisely determine the nature of the substance. At the same time, police opened criminal proceedings against a 21-year-old man on suspicion of unlawful possession of a narcotic substance.

Details of the case are not yet known. "Given the ongoing investigation, it is not possible to provide further information," said Jana Illéšová, spokesperson for the Košice regional police.

The entire process of verifying the discovery has not yet been completed.
