Positive drugs test after crash into luxury car dealership in Bratislava

Bratislava police are investigating a thirty-year-old driver who crashed early Wednesday under the influence of narcotic substances on Stará Vajnorská street. According to Aktuality, the man left the roadway and crashed into an information sign and subsequently into the ramp of a luxury car dealership.

Police were called shortly after 5:00 am. "According to current information, the 30-year-old driver left the roadway for reasons not yet precisely determined and crashed into an information sign whilst driving and subsequently into the ramp of a luxury car dealership," said Bratislava regional police spokesman Michal Szeiff to TASR. No persons were injured in the accident.

A breath test for alcohol tested negative, however a preliminary test for narcotic and psychotropic substances tested positive. Police restricted the driver's personal liberty and escorted him to the appropriate police department. Officers from the District Directorate of the Police Force in Bratislava II are investigating further circumstances of the case.
