Investigation into hacker incident at cadastre continues

The case of digital breach of the information systems of the Office of Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, which occurred at the beginning of this year, remains in the hands of investigators. The Communications and Prevention Department of the Police Force Presidency confirmed that the investigation is still active, but refused to provide more detailed facts.

The reason for the secrecy is an effort not to endanger the course of criminal proceedings. "The preliminary proceedings in this matter are ongoing. In order not to endanger the purpose of criminal proceedings and not to frustrate or hinder the course of the investigation, it is currently not possible to provide further information," the presidency explained.

The incident took place in the first weeks of 2025, when unknown perpetrators attacked the digital infrastructure of the office. As a result, the administration temporarily suspended the operation of the affected platforms. They were gradually managed to be restored. According to available information, there was no permanent loss or damage to data.
