Police operation in Bratislava III: woman accused of drug distribution
Nový Čas reports that officers of the District Police Headquarters of the Police Force in Bratislava III recorded a number of reports from residents in the recent period regarding suspicious activity related to the sale and distribution of drugs in one locality within the district.
Based on these reports, police officers conducted operational measures on Mikovíni, Kraskov, Pionierska and Sibírska streets. At the garages on Pionierska Street, they noticed a woman in whose vicinity other individuals were present — their appearance and gait suggested they were under the influence of narcotic or psychotropic substances.
Police officers decided to check the individuals present. During the check, they voluntarily handed over narcotic and psychotropic substances — specifically heroin. All detained individuals were restricted in their personal liberty and brought in for further procedural measures.
An investigator at the District Police Headquarters in Bratislava III brought charges against the woman observed at the garages for the distribution and sale of drugs. At the same time, a motion was submitted for the initiation of pre-trial detention proceedings.
Police appeal for residents' cooperation
On this occasion, police emphasised that reports from citizens play a key role in detecting drug-related criminal activity. At the same time, they point out how to proceed correctly when suspecting drug dealing in the vicinity:
- Do not engage in conflict with individuals suspected of dealing drugs.
- Do not attempt to follow them or confront them yourselves.
- Remember the location, approximate time and description of the situation.
- If there is an immediate threat, call the police on the emergency line.
- If you have less urgent suspicions, contact the police and provide the information.
- Even repeated suspicious activity at the same location can be valuable information for police.
The Police of the Slovak Republic – Bratislava Region urges citizens to contact the police without hesitation if they suspect similar criminal activity in their area, using a private message on its Facebook page.
