Operation on Bratislava streets: woman detained for heroin

Bratislava police have detained a woman suspected of selling and distributing heroin after residents reported drug-related criminal activity in the third district of Bratislava. Police spokesman Michal Szeiff of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Bratislava informed Aktuality of this on Saturday.

Based on several reports from citizens, officers focused on Mikovíni, Kraskov, Pionierska and Sibírska streets. Near garages on Pionierska street, they observed a woman and other individuals who displayed signs of drug use. During the check, all individuals voluntarily handed over narcotic and psychotropic substances — specifically heroin — and were detained and taken for further proceedings.

An investigator charged the woman with the criminal offence of drug trafficking and distribution. Police also filed a motion for her detention in custody. Order-service units are urging residents to contact police without hesitation if they suspect drug-related criminal activity in their area.
