Narcotics Brigade Suriname seizes more than 230 drug packages at three hotspots
The Narcotics Brigade of the KPS found unattended drugs at three known drug locations in Paramaribo and Lelydorp. In total, 239 packages and sachets of illegal substances were seized.

The Narcotics Brigade of the Suriname Police Corps (KPS) seized a large quantity of illegal substances on Friday during targeted raids on three suspected drug trafficking locations. According to De Ware Tijd.
The raids targeted the Crommelinstraat in Lelydorp in the vicinity of the former Golden Wings building and the Martin Luther Kingweg at the level of 'Post 1'. At all three locations, officers found drugs that had been left unattended.
In total, the brigade seized 103 packages of sukru, 38 packages of cocaine, 34 packages of marijuana, 23 packages of XTC powder, 19 packages of hashish, nineteen ziplock sachets of XTC pills and three vials of 'pikachu'. The KPS described the haul as "a broad range of illegal substances".
No suspects were arrested during the operation. The KPS emphasised that the Narcotics Brigade would continue its surveillance and control operations at hotspots to maintain public order and safety.
