On Tuesday, law enforcement conducted saturation interventions in multiple urban areas, alternating neighbourhoods and time shifts as part of its routine surveillance. The operations resulted in three arrests and the seizure of drugs.
Near the intersection of streets 57 and Córdoba, officers from the Seventh Police Station spotted two men in public. Upon noticing the agents, the individuals fled and discarded fourteen packets of cannabis during their escape. They were apprehended shortly after and taken into custody. Along with the substance, two mobile devices were seized and handed over to investigators.
In parallel, motorised units set up a checkpoint near La Arrocera. A citizen undergoing a search was found with a tobacco packet that contained seventeen doses of cocaine. Following the discovery, the public prosecutor's representative ordered his detention and the seizure of the illicit material.
Both cases have already been reported to the magistracy and the corresponding investigations are underway. The institution reaffirmed that these periodic operations aim to increase state presence on the streets and deter criminal conduct.
