A 31-year-old man was murdered on Monday night at the corner of San Martín and Hum, in the Cerrito neighbourhood, according to subrayado.com.uy, based on the initial police report.
Police arrived at the scene after receiving a call about an injured person on a public street. They found the victim lying on Hum Street with a bullet wound to the chest.
Security cameras recorded the moment when two people were travelling on a motorcycle along San Martín avenue and the passenger fell to the ground. The driver continued on his way. Minutes later, several people dragged the body to the pavement on Hum Street and left it there.
A witness stated he had seen a man running down Hum Street towards a car parked a block away, at the corner with Granaderos, from where he escaped the scene.
The victim had no criminal record, according to the report accessed by the outlet.
