According to montevideo.com.uy, an armed violence incident that occurred on Monday afternoon in the Capra neighbourhood left three people wounded: a man, a 26-year-old woman and a 10-year-old child. The incident took place at the intersection of Alfredo Zitarrosa and Clavel del Aire streets.

Police officers attended the scene after receiving alerts about firearm shots. Upon arrival, they found a man with bullet wounds. A second individual, upon noticing the presence of uniformed officers, attempted to flee the area but was detained. During his arrest, a narcotic substance was seized from him. The wounded man received medical assistance and remains admitted to a healthcare facility, according to a statement issued by the Montevideo Police Headquarters.

Separately, authorities were notified that a 10-year-old child had admitted himself to a medical establishment with injuries caused by bullet impacts. Additionally, a woman who was in the area was wounded in the head.

Montevideo Police Headquarters indicated that the investigation into the incident continues to be underway.
