Alleged Lottery Scammer Shot Dead in Kingston Police Operation

A man believed to be Faldan Campbell, 30, a high-ranking Rollington Town gang member, was killed during an early-morning police raid in Rockfort, Kingston 2.

Suspected Lottery Scammer Killed in Rockfort Raid

A man alleged to be 30-year-old Faldan Campbell, known as "Chaps", was shot and killed during a police operation on Oliver Road in Rockfort, Kingston 2, on Thursday morning, the Jamaica Observer reports.

Officers armed with a search warrant conducted an intelligence-led operation at approximately 5:25 am. Upon entering a residence, they were confronted by a man who opened fire at them. Police returned fire in defence of their lives, fatally wounding the alleged gunman. A .357 Magnum revolver loaded with five live rounds was recovered at the scene.

Campbell was transported to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A further search of the property uncovered nine lead sheets containing personal information on hundreds of American nationals, hidden at the rear of the house — material consistent with lottery scamming activity.

Investigators described Campbell as a high-risk target and a high-ranking member of the Rollington Town gang. He was also identified as a person of interest in the murder of Kevin Johnson, killed on June 24, 2025, in Rollington Town, and was considered one of the main instigators of violence in the area.

Campbell had been deported from the United States on October 16, 2025, for illegal entry.
