Two men were killed and a woman hospitalised after gunmen opened fire on a group of people in Balcombe Drive, Kingston 11, according to iriefm.net.

One of the deceased has been identified as 57-year-old Andrew Berry of Bay Farm Road, Kingston 11. The name of the second victim has not been released by authorities.

Senior Superintendent Damion Manderson, head of the St. Andrew South Police, said the gunmen pounced on a group at a location in the community and opened fire, striking multiple persons. The wounded were transported to hospital, where the two men were pronounced dead and the woman was admitted for treatment.

Manderson described the incident as unfortunate, noting that police had been working to dismantle gangs operating in the community for some time.

He added that the attack is believed to be connected to a separate incident that occurred two to three years ago. The St. Andrew South Police are currently pursuing several leads in relation to the double murder.
