Chevon Anthony Gidarsingh, 31, was shot and killed by police on Saturday after allegedly drawing a firearm on officers along Four Paths main road in Clarendon.

Clarendon Man Killed After Allegedly Pointing Gun at Police
A 31-year-old man was shot and killed by police on Saturday along the Four Paths main road in Clarendon, according to radiojamaicanewsonline.com.
The deceased has been identified as Chevon Anthony Gidarsingh, also known as "Muta", of Effortville, May Pen, Clarendon.
Officers reportedly observed Gidarsingh walking along the road with what appeared to be a bulge in his waistband. They approached him, identified themselves, and ordered him not to move.
At that point, police say he drew a firearm from his waistband and pointed it at them. Officers stated they took evasive action before opening fire.
A .32 Smith & Wesson revolver — with a black and brown handle and containing one round of ammunition — was reportedly recovered at the scene.
Gidarsingh was transported to May Pen Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
