A licensed firearm holder and taxi operator accused of shooting his wife at their home in Newark, near Spur Tree, Manchester, on Tuesday morning has been arrested, Jamaica Observer reports.

The injured woman, believed to be in her 30s, was admitted to hospital in serious condition. Detectives confirmed she was still undergoing surgery as late as 4:00 pm Tuesday.
