Kingston man charged over fatal shootings of two men in Manchester

Nicholas Williamson, 21, otherwise called 'Poo-Bear', a construction worker of University Road, Kingston, has been charged in connection with the murders of two men in Manchester, the Jamaica Observer reports.

The victims — Hubert Ferguson, 60, and Floyd Ferguson, 33, known as 'Fido', a car dealer and entertainer — were both residents of New Forrest district, Manchester. They were found in a bedroom suffering from gunshot wounds shortly after midnight on Friday, 6 June, after residents alerted police upon hearing explosions coming from a premises in the community. Both men were taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Post-mortem examinations conducted on Thursday, 18 June confirmed that each man died from gunshot wounds to the head.

Williamson, who had been wanted in connection with the incident, was arrested on Tuesday, 11 August following a joint operation involving the Manchester Police Division, the St Andrew Central Division, and the Major Investigation Division. He was subsequently charged.
