Portmore Brothers: Shakim Wilson Remanded After Fatal Stabbing

A St Catherine man accused of killing his brother during a morning dispute in Beverly Flats, Portmore, has been remanded in custody, jamaica-gleaner.com reports.

Shakim Wilson, 29, appeared before Judge Genetta Smikle in the parish court on a murder charge. Bail was not entertained, and Wilson was ordered remanded until October 16.

The alleged incident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on August 19, when a dispute broke out between the two brothers at their shared home. Shakim allegedly drew a knife and stabbed his 30-year-old brother, Shaquille Wilson, in the neck.

Shaquille was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Portmore police launched an investigation that led to Wilson's arrest and subsequent charge.
