2.2kg of Cannabis Found in Three Locations During Port-of-Spain Operation

Cannabis Seized at Three Port-of-Spain Sites During Anti-Crime Sweep
Police recovered approximately 2.2 kilogrammes of cannabis across three separate locations in Port-of-Spain on Tuesday, guardian.co.tt reports, during a coordinated anti-crime operation that ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The operation, designated Operation B.L.A.S.T., was led by ACP Hazel, Senior Superintendent Ramnarine, Superintendent Ramsook and ASP Singh, with coordination handled by Inspector Edwards and Sergeant Adams. Personnel from Charford Court, Duncan Street Post and the Canine Unit also took part, alongside K9 Gino.
The first find came at around 1:45 p.m., when officers searched an abandoned apartment at Harpe Place, East Dry River. Inside, they discovered a black plastic bag holding three packets of plant material resembling cannabis, which weighed 862 grammes after being brought to Besson Street Police Station.
Roughly 30 minutes later, PC Wallace noticed a black plastic bag lodged between two booths at People's Mall on Henry Street. The bag contained several plastic bags and small zip-lock bags of similar plant material, with a combined weight of 680 grammes.
At approximately 3 p.m., officers searched a bushy area at Jackson Place, East Dry River. PC Subero recovered a black plastic bag containing loose plant material and additional packets, which together weighed 635 grammes.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service said the combined weight of all material seized from the three locations totalled approximately 2.2 kilogrammes. The operation concluded without incident, with the monitored areas otherwise reported to be quiet. No arrests were made in connection with the seizures.
