TTPS asks public for help finding missing San Juan teen Shania Saroop

Search underway for missing 17-year-old Shania Saroop of San Juan

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has issued an urgent appeal for public assistance in locating 17-year-old Shania Saroop, as guardian.co.tt reports. Saroop, who is from San Juan, was last seen on September 15 and reported missing to the San Juan Police Station later that same day.

Police described Saroop as being of mixed descent, approximately five feet two inches tall, with a light brown complexion. When she was last seen, she was wearing a black and white plaid skirt, white sneakers and socks.

The TTPS is calling on anyone who may have spotted Saroop or who holds information relevant to her whereabouts to come forward without delay. Tips can be submitted to the San Juan Police Station directly at 674-0100, or via the police hotlines 800-TIPS, 555, 999 and 911. Members of the public may also walk into any police station with information.
