A woman reported being sexually assaulted at a hotel off Wrightson Road, Port of Spain, on the night of August 31. The suspect is a former intimate partner she had arranged to meet.

According to trinidadexpress.com, a woman was sexually assaulted at a hotel off Wrightson Road, Port of Spain, on the night of August 31 — Independence Day.

Police said the woman attended a station on Wednesday to file the report, stating the incident occurred around 11.20 p.m. She had arranged in advance to meet the suspect at the hotel.

The woman told police she had been in an intimate relationship with the suspect between 2019 and 2020. After the relationship ended, the two maintained contact.

On the night in question, the suspect invited her to his room for a private conversation. Once inside, he undressed and sexually assaulted her.
