Officers were alerted to the incident at approximately 1am on Sunday, 20 September, near Gardner Road. A cordon was established around the area, and police remained in attendance as enquiries continued.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the assault and appealed for public assistance: "Around 1am on Sunday, September 20, we received a report of the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in the Gardner Road area of Aberdeen. Officers remain in attendance while enquiries are carried out. Anyone with concerns or information is encouraged to approach them or contact Police Scotland using 101."
