Two arrested after Class A and B drugs seized at Derry Waterside property

Police searched a property in the Ebrington Oaks area of Derry on Friday night, seizing suspected Class A and B drugs. A man and woman, both 24, were arrested on multiple drugs charges.

Two arrested after drug seizure at Ebrington Oaks, Derry

Officers from the Derry City and Strabane District Support Team searched a property in the Ebrington Oaks area of Derry's Waterside at approximately 10.40pm on Friday, highlandradio.com reports.

The search resulted in the seizure of suspected Class A and Class B drugs, along with drug-related paraphernalia.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B controlled drugs, being concerned in the supply of Class A controlled drugs, and possession of Class A controlled drugs with intent to supply. She has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on the same drug supply and possession charges. He has been charged to appear before Londonderry Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Enquiries into the matter are ongoing. Police are appealing to anyone with information about the supply or use of illegal drugs in the area to contact them on 101.
