$4,440 stolen from a resident of Concepción del Uruguay recovered following search
According to diarioriouruguay.com, police in Concepción del Uruguay recovered 4,440 dollars taken from a man who had kept his savings in a piece of furniture in his home. The search was carried out at a property located on Pablo Lorentz Street at 600.
The judicial order was issued by Guarantee Court No. 2, with the involvement of prosecutor Denise Caraballo. Officers from the second police station seized the exact amount that the victim had reported as stolen.
The investigation began last Friday when the man reported the missing money. The openings of the property showed no signs of forced entry, a circumstance that directed suspicion towards a woman from Entre Ríos in his circle, one of the few people who frequented the residence and knew the exact location of the money.
During the search, an excess of cash was also found. By judicial order, that amount was photographed and returned to the resident.
The woman was released, subject to the progress of the case.
