Third detainee in beating and shooting in Chimbas remanded in custody; search for fourth suspect continues
Cristian Muñoz Torrejón was sent to prison after charges brought before a guarantee judge. A fourth suspect, Lucas "El Condorito" Molina, remains at large.

Three detainees remanded in custody over attack in El Prado neighbourhood, Chimbas
Cristian Alexis Muñoz Torrejón, the young man who turned himself in voluntarily on Sunday evening, has been remanded in custody for one month following his appearance on Tuesday before guarantee judge Flavia Allende, according to tiempodesanjuan.com. Assistant prosecutor Jorge Sánchez charged him with aggravated threats involving use of a weapon, assault, and property damage. The same precautionary measure applies to the other two defendants in the case: Walter Tomás Molina and Mario Lorenzo Calivar.
Meanwhile, investigators are maintaining an active arrest warrant against Lucas Felipe Molina, nicknamed "El Condorito", identified as the fourth occupant of the white Fiat Idea used by the attackers. Molina has been at large since the day of the attack.
The violent incident occurred on 15 October, around 15:00, at a residence on block C in the El Prado neighbourhood in Chimbas. According to the complaint, three men arrived in that vehicle and began shouting demands for Agustín Villafañe, 25, to come out. Instead, the father, Alejandro Villafañe, emerged and was struck on the head with the butt of a firearm.
Following the physical assault, the attackers fired approximately seven shots at a family Toyota Corolla parked in front of the house and fled in the same Fiat Idea. Alejandro Villafañe was the direct victim of the violence; the car was left with several bullet impacts.
The main investigative hypothesis points to a settling of scores linked to a debt of money and a previous conflict between the victim's son and a young man from the San Francisco neighbourhood. According to that line of inquiry, the attackers would have gone to the residence seeking revenge. Investigators clarify that this is the working hypothesis at present.
The case is being handled by prosecutor José Plaza and assistant prosecutor Sánchez from the Generic UFI. Walter Tomás Molina was the first to be arrested, on 22 October; the investigation identifies him as the owner of the Fiat Idea. Days later, Calivar was detained, identified as one of the shooters during the attack. Muñoz Torrejón presented himself voluntarily on Sunday evening and completed the group of three detainees, all remanded in custody for one month, whilst the search for Lucas Felipe Molina continues.
