Officers from the Misiones Police Force carried out a series of operations in various points across the province in recent hours and succeeded in seizing three motorcycles that were subject to seizure orders after being stolen in Buenos Aires territory.
In Puerto Esperanza, on Provincial Route 227, the uniformed officers spotted a suspicious motorbike and attempted to stop it. The driver fled, moved into the vegetation and escaped on foot, abandoning the vehicle. It was a KTM with 390 cubic centimetres with no registration plate; when the engine and chassis numbers were checked against the database, it was confirmed that it had an active seizure order in Buenos Aires province.
Meanwhile, in the city of Wanda, personnel from the Radio Command Division conducted checks during the night on Avenida Alem. There they found a Bajaj Rouser model parked and unoccupied. The vehicle showed alterations to the ignition mechanism and, following a computer check, it was confirmed that it had also been reported as stolen in Buenos Aires. The motorcycle was taken to the corresponding police station.
The third incident occurred in the morning in the Itatí neighbourhood of Puerto Libertad. Officers stopped a 19-year-old youth who was riding a red Honda Wave. The young man could not justify ownership of the vehicle. Once the details were verified in the police system, it was discovered that the motorcycle had been stolen in Buenos Aires province during 2024. The driver was taken along with the vehicle to the local police headquarters and placed at the disposal of the Judiciary.
