Trio robbed Klosterneuburg hairdresser – main suspect caught in Italy

As noen.at reports, Klosterneuburg police have identified a 28-year-old Romanian national as the suspected perpetrator of a theft at a hairdressing salon in Klosterneuburg's Hundskehle district. During the incident in January 2025, a trio stole 400 euros: one of the men reached into the cash drawer, an accomplice distracted the employee, and a third waited with the getaway car.

The 28-year-old is facing a total of 13 offences across Austria. Between August 2024 and January 2026, he is said to have been active in all nine states. In Lower Austria, he is accused of, among other things, the theft of waiters' wallets at a restaurant in Ybbs an der Donau and at a hotel in Altlengbach, as well as the theft of a wallet in Amstetten.

The suspect was arrested in Italy in May and subsequently transferred to Austria. Investigations into further accomplices still at large are ongoing.
