Man in Traun hit by car driven by brother-in-law – arrest in Linz
A 33-year-old deliberately drove his 28-year-old brother-in-law over with his car in Traun. Police arrested him; he was released and charged.

As fotokerschi.at reports, an incident occurred on the evening of 1 June 2026 on Lannerstraße in Traun in which a 28-year-old man from the Linz-Land district was hit by a car.
Around 20:15, several police units attended after the victim reported that he had previously got into an argument with his 33-year-old brother-in-law from Linz. The older man had first punched him and then driven away in his vehicle.
The 28-year-old then positioned himself behind the car. The 33-year-old reversed towards him, whereupon the younger man struck the rear of the vehicle with his left side of his body. The accused then left the scene.
Police found the 33-year-old at his residential address. He largely admitted guilt but stated that he had merely let the vehicle roll slightly. Following completion of the investigation, he was arrested and subsequently released and charged.
