Murder of Linz property agent: investigators without solid lead after 20 weeks
Twenty weeks after the murder of a 49-year-old estate agent in Linz, police remain in the dark. According to krone.at, there are as yet no concrete leads on the perpetrator.

Twenty weeks after the violent death of a 49-year-old property agent in his penthouse flat on Linz's Harrachstraße, the Upper Austrian State Criminal Police Office has yet to identify a suspect. As krone.at reports, despite extensive investigative efforts there are as yet no usable leads.
The victim's body was discovered by his brother on 19 January – two days after the presumed night of the crime. A neighbour became suspicious when the agent's Beagle bitch, named "Lilly", was found wandering masterless in the stairwell.
The post-mortem revealed a grim picture: the victim was bound at the hands and feet and bore injuries suggesting deliberate torture. The cause of death was determined to be traumatic brain injury resulting from blunt force trauma. Investigators also secured drugs in the flat in quantities exceeding personal use.
The agent is said to have had connections to the drugs and red-light scene. Two pizzas were ordered on the night of the crime – whom he dined with remains unclear to this day. The victim's mobile phone went missing; analysis of telecommunications data yielded no decisive clues either.
"There is nothing new," said LKA chief Gottfried Mitterlehner curtly. He declined to comment further on ongoing investigative steps, though he described the case as a "tough nut". A profiler's assessment is still pending.
