According to tt.com, a 21-year-old Romanian carer is suspected of robbing her 55-year-old patient in Wörgl. The incident is said to have occurred on the night of Friday in the apartment of the Austrian woman.
According to police, the suspect is alleged to have obtained the key to the safe unlawfully and opened it. From the safe, she is said to have stolen a high four-figure sum in euros as well as several pieces of jewellery.
In the course of the search that was launched, the suspect was stopped in Vorarlberg as she was heading towards Bregenz. During the check, officers seized a low five-figure sum in euros and pieces of jewellery from her – suspected stolen goods that were confiscated.
During her interrogation, the woman denied the charges. After the investigation is concluded, she will be reported to the relevant authorities.
