Unidentified man found dead in the Sambre at Marcinelle, search appeal issued
A male body was discovered on 8 May at Marcinelle, at the junction of the Charleroi-Brussels canal and the Sambre. Police are appealing for witnesses to help identify him.
Unidentified body in the Sambre: police issue search appeal
On 8 May, at approximately 14:55, the body of a man was discovered at the junction of the Charleroi-Brussels canal and the Sambre, in Marcinelle. Several weeks after the discovery, the victim remains unidentified. DHnet reports that police have issued a search appeal at the request of the investigating judge in charge of the case.
According to the appeal, the man is between 25 and 35 years old. He measures approximately 1m67, has a slim build, short dark brown hair with slight greying at the sides and thick eyebrows. A particular physical detail is also noted: "The upper right arm is much thinner than the forearm."
At the time of discovery, he was wearing black H&M training clothes, a burgundy hoodie sweatshirt by The North Face, a black and red Nike t-shirt, and brown trainers.
