Over 12 kg of cannabis seized after taxi stop in Jette
A passenger carrying 1,815 € in cash led police to an apartment in Jette, where more than 12 kg of cannabis was discovered.

Last Friday, police officers intercepted a taxi at Simonis roundabout for speeding and the passenger's failure to wear a seatbelt. According to DHnet, the suspicious behaviour of the two occupants immediately drew the attention of officers.
The passenger was carrying 1,815 euros in cash, the source of which he could not justify. Placed in police custody, his home located in Jette was subjected to a search. Officers seized 6.39 kg of cannabis herb, 6.03 kg of cannabis resin, a further 260 euros, packaging sachets and a precision scale.
Following his interview, the suspect was remanded to the Brussels public prosecutor's office and transferred to the courthouse. An investigating judge was seized by the public prosecutor and charged the man with unlawful possession and trafficking in narcotic drugs. He was placed under arrest warrant.
